COSHH

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations

COSHH is an abbreviation for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2004, these regulations were first introduced in 1988 and have been subsequently updated over the years.

In certain environments, the use of chemicals or similar products can cause real harm to employers and users. Like all Regulations under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act, COSHH requires employers to implement a suitable management system in order to control the risk to employees and non-employees, such as members of the public, who may be exposed to the hazardous substances or ultimately affected by the company’s work activities.

The COSHH regulations can be complex and very time consuming without the correct guidance and unless your organisation can demonstrate that all reasonable precautions have been taken you may be prosecuted for non-compliance. Citation plc will work with you to ensure that you fully understand the regulations and how they affect your business. Within your Health and Safety Management System, we provide easy to use forms and software to enable you to fulfil your legal obligations.

We currently provide fixed cost compliance solutions for over 6,000 clients across the UK.
