Location: Wilmslow/Remote – Full-Time

Hours of Work: 09:00 – 17:30 or in line with business needs

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business focusing on technology with a desire to take our market leading technology platform in the compliance and quality industry to the next level.  You will lead best practise for the software development life cycles across the Citation Group and have expert experience in security best practises throughout the SDLC.

You’ll play a leading role in the identification and implementation of tooling in areas such as security, feature toggling, enhancing the DevOps toolchain and many more!

Ensuring that our internal and offshore teams continuously improve best practise, you’ll ensure consistent processes are followed and toolsets leveraged; you will bring SDLC approaches such as working in tribes/squads and review and implement optimal team sizes to support delivery.

You will work closely with product owners, solution architects and senior stakeholders to deliver the agreed roadmap.

The Person

We are looking for someone who can roll their sleeves up and ‘dig in’ with the rest of the team. In addition, the successful candidate should have:

• You will have expert level knowledge and experience of software engineering and design, as well as significant experience in the development of online platforms
• You will drive design and implementation leveraging design patterns
• You’ll oversee the defining and development to continuously improve performance, scalability and resiliency of CI/CD pipelines
• Strong full stack .Net development and architecture ability
• Expert understanding and experience in building out cloud native solutions, preferably Azure

• Led multiple teams of software and QA engineers, where you were seen as the leading “go to” technical authority, delivering through a coaching style

Education & Experience:

• Excellent technical leadership ability
• Expert experience in JavaScript frameworks (We use Angular 10)
• Expert experience in DevOps and implementation across all facets
• Experience of secure development methodologies and tooling
• Utilisation of tooling such as JIRA, Confluence
• Working with third party suppliers in terms of solution delivery
