Salary: c£50,000 plus benefits

We are delighted to be seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Acquisition Marketing with a solid background in digital marketing to join the team.

Reporting into the Product and Marketing Director and working alongside other business leaders, you will be a self-starter with a passion for making digital an integral part of your multi-channel marketing strategy, to drive growth and create a tangible ROI.

You will be target driven and be able to build lasting relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies and key sector influencers to shape and successfully implement all levels of marketing activity.

You will possess a blend of business and commercial savvy and a determination to deliver, to make your marketing vision a reality.

You will ideally have experience of managing multiple brands, of delivering a full marketing strategy and have strengths across both online and offline marketing channels. You’ll also be ambitious to learn more, with a genuine intrigue for industry trends and technologies and a strong analytical acumen.


Purpose of the role

To engage prospects and generate new customers across all areas of the business. This is a crucial position which will see you responsible for new client acquisition marketing for the business.


What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Create the acquisition marketing strategy in-line with the company wide objectives and delivered on time within budget
  • Develop and deliver a growth-driven marketing plan to achieve new business leads and appointments for our Business Development team
  • Manage and develop a marketing team to deliver on objectives and marketing plans
  • With the support of your team, you’ll work on the planning, co-ordination, and execution of a varied digital and general acquisition strategy
  • Manage the Citation website including development, driving content creation, optimising web site conversion rates against KPIs and leading and developing web projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate the social media strategy across all channels for growth and brand campaigns
  • Develop new initiatives around the Citation Colleague and Client referral programmes.
  • Manage agency relationships from briefing through to production
  • Conduct regular analysis of marketing effectiveness across all acquisition channels, website data and usability trends. Develop reports to validate current strategies and measures towards improvement. Produce KPI reports to present to the board on marketing activity
  • Collaborating with other marketing colleagues, to integrate and complement marketing strategies and share best practices across multiple channels
  • Conducting market analysis to identify trends and market opportunities in digital channels to maximise revenue growth.



  • Demonstrable experience in implementing successful marketing strategies / campaigns and in driving business growth
  • Possess an understanding of multiple digital marketing approaches including nurture-based campaigns, marketing automation, digital demand generation, search etc.
  • You’ll be determined, passionate, eager, helpful, supportive and confident in how you work with your team.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with boundless energy and tenacity
  • Problem solving, providing solutions and playing an interactive role within a team environment
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships at all levels with colleagues, agencies and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communications campaigns and strategies
  • You will have excellent project management skills
  • Education: Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or a related discipline or CIM qualification
