‘Freedom Day’ is on the horizon as Boris Johnson confirmed that the lifting of restrictions in England will go ahead on 19 July – although the government has urged a cautious approach as cases continue to rise across the country.

While many people are excited at the prospect of an end to COVID restrictions – business owners have a little more on their plates when it comes to getting back to ‘normal’.

Whether you’ve been closed throughout the lockdowns, are moving to a hybrid model of working, or have been operating throughout, there are many elements of Health & Safety that you must make sure are in place and up to scratch to make sure that your people are working safely, and your business is protected.

To help get you started, our Health & Safety experts have compiled a short checklist to steer you in the right direction when it comes to getting all your Health & Safety essentials right ahead of 19 July itself. In the guide we cover:

  • COVID-19 safety and workplace hygiene
  • Updating your risk assessments
  • Fire and emergency procedures
