On 5 November, it came to a surprise to many when the Counsellor Rishi Sunak announced the extension of the furlough scheme will continue until the end of March 2021 (with a review planned in January 2021).
As the United Kingdom continues their second lockdown, regional measures are likely to continue across the country with England set to return to a three-tiered approach from 2 December. Although, the extension of the furlough scheme will continue to run nationally, which includes Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
