Citation becomes Altrincham FC’s new stand sponsor for 2026/27 season

We’re now officially part of the Golf Road End. Citation’s branding is up on the terrace at Altrincham FC’s J. Davidson Stadium for the 2026/27 season, which is one of the most visible spots in the ground, holding more than 1,000 fans on matchday.

Alongside the terrace branding, Citation is now advertising in the club’s matchday programme, with more activations planned with the club over the coming months.

A new award for the club’s unsung players

As part of the partnership, Citation has launched a new monthly award: Defensive Performance of the Month.

Each month, fans vote for the player they think has performed best defensively, via the club’s official social media accounts. The trophy gets presented pitch side during a home fixture, so supporters can celebrate the winner in person.

Why Citation got involved

Citation works with and protects over 30,000 small and medium-sized businesses across the UK, including many in Altrincham and the surrounding areas. Sponsoring the club is a way of putting that support behind the community on its doorstep.

Founded in 1891, Altrincham FC plays in the Enterprise National League and has long been part of football in the local area. Alongside the first team, the Alty FC Foundation runs programmes supporting the health and wellbeing of over 2,000 children and adults across Trafford every week.
