Domino’s

Domino’s is known worldwide for its tantalizingly tasty pizzas, and it’s one of the largest fast food restaurants on the planet. But behind their moreish pizzas and irresistible sides, comes a long list of Health & Safety and HR & Employment Law responsibilities to keep up with – as with any business.

We spoke to Bradley Shedden from Full House Restaurants Ltd, a large franchisee group within the Domino’s UK Franchise, to get a feel for just how much we help their day-to-day.

Value when it’s needed most

“The 24/7 Employment Law back-up support is invaluable to us. We’ve got 1,000 – 1,500 employees so, unfortunately, with the way life is, we have a lot of incidents,” Bradley said.

“Sometimes they’re resolved very quickly and sometimes they take longer to solve, but just being able to pick up the phone and get a professional to give us a template letter and explain the background to the situation irons it out much more than us just trying to figure our own way through it.”

A life without Citation

We exist to make our clients’ lives easier, and we truly believe that once businesses join us, they won’t ever want to go back.

Bradley spoke: “If we stopped using Citation, I think the main way it would impact our business is that it would take up much more of our own time.

Health & Safety and HR & Employment Law stuff is already time-consuming for businesses, so I think if we had to resolve that ourselves and kind of rely on Google, refer to Acas and stuff like that, I think it’d probably triple the time taken to resolve an issue, and that’s time we could spend on the operational side of the business, and other things that actually bring in income.”

Risk assessments made easy

Risk assessments are really important, but we’re not oblivious to the fact that they can be a bit of a pain – but with our online platform, Atlas, they don’t have to be.

“There’s a lot of generic risk assessments in Atlas and we had a lot of trepidation about doing the risk assessments because we thought there was going to be tonnes of work involved,” Bradley said.

“But, with Atlas, we were able to tag onto the generic risk assessments that were already on there and make a few minor adaptations and use it for our own system. The generic risk assessments must have saved us a lot of time.”
