The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is the trade association for the UK garden industry. They offer a comprehensive and cost-effective range of business support and development initiatives to their members.
To help its members, the HTA wanted to remove some of that burden from them. How? By giving them access to a reputable third party who could give each and every one of their members peace of mind that they are up-to-date with legislation – allowing them to concentrate on growing their business.
Not only that, but they needed support to ensure they themselves were compliant too. They wanted extra support to give them more time to focus on their members’ needs – rather than worrying about Health & Safety and Employment Law obligations.
Because their staff weren’t experts in either area, the HTA felt they were wasting valuable time researching correct procedures, processes and legislative changes – time that could’ve been much better spent elsewhere.
The HTA partnered with us in 2010 to provide itself and their members with market-leading services and advice.
We help the HTA and its members with anything from contracts of employment, PQQs, disciplinary and grievance procedures, to employment tribunals, sub-contractor management, risk assessments and ISO accreditation.
Did you know, Citation clients who follow the advice we give them are at least 10 times less likely to face an employment tribunal? And 47 times less likely to receive an enforcement notice?
Having comprehensive systems in place will not only keep you on the right side of the law, but they’ll protect your staff, customers and yourself, too.
Here’s what Tim Bell, Commercial Manager at The HTA, has to say about us:
“We have the bonus of being clients of Citation ourselves so we have experienced first-hand the quality services they provide: HTA has rolled out new employment contracts and staff handbooks. Citation is now a vital part of our HR and Health & Safety teams.”
