The highest award for unfair dismissal was £173,408 (capped at £72,300) and the average award was £9,133.Cost awards continue to be rare, with costs being awarded in only 612 cases, 496 to respondents and 116 to claimants.

The average award for discrimination claims (where there is no cap) was highest in race discrimination cases but this was skewed by one award of £4,445,023. Average awards were:
