Redundancy: nursery checklist

Despite most nursery settings now being open again, 1 in 5 staff remain on part or full-time furlough, suggesting that by the end of the scheme in October, we can expect a wave of redundancies; many more than we have seen across the nursery sector to date.

The COVID-19 crisis has forced many nursery settings nationwide to consider making redundancies to make sure they’re in the strongest position to survive and eventually thrive beyond the pandemic.
