On 22 July, new and long-awaited guidance was published on visiting arrangements in care homes. For the first time in around four months, care home residents in England can be visited by loved ones. This is provided that the local officials say it is safe to do so and care homes take certain measures, particularly regarding dynamic risk assessments and infection control.
