Our advice

Fire risk assessments don’t need externally validating.

From time to time, your local fire authority may visit your premises and look over your fire risk assessment, and in doing this they’ll leave any recommendations – should they find anything at fault.

Fundamentally though, it’s a case of making sure your fire risk assessment is brought together by a competent, qualified and experienced individual or provider.

There are lots of templates available online that claim to be ‘suitable and sufficient’, when they may in fact have been put together by an inexperienced individual which, if used, could put you, your business and your employees at risk.

If you haven’t already, we’d always recommend seeking advice from an experienced and reputable individual or provider before conducting your fire risk assessment.
