Being a manager isn’t easy – we get that. It takes certain skills, traits and training, and there’s no such thing as a blanket approach to cracking it.
Worryingly though, research conducted by us uncovered that the UK’s filled with lots of, well, not-so-good managers. From temperamental, scary and the inexperienced, three in 10 employees say they’re faced with unapproachable managers.
While it might not be easy, it certainly is important. To get under the skin of the implications of bad management, we spoke to one employee with a good manager, and one employee with a bad manager, to compare the knock-on effects.
