Best Companies 2015!

Citation has made the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For list in its very first year of entering, highlighting the commitment of the management team to make Citation a truly fantastic place to work. The company, which has introduced a number of employee inspired initiatives for continuous improvement, achieved a classification of ‘Outstanding’ from the judging panel and reached number 68 in its inaugural year of submitting an entry.

Citation will be listed alongside some of the UK’s biggest companies and business success stories in the main Sunday Times supplement published on 1st March 2015.

Over the last 18 months, Citation has revamped and refreshed its employee engagement strategy – something that it recognised as being critical to attracting and retaining great talent across the organisation. Highlights have included the introduction of customer service awards with employees winning prizes such as trips to New York, and the launch of the Big Cheque Incentive, where business ideas from the employees are put into action.

In addition, a number of contractual benefits were made uniform across the workforce. The driving philosophy has been for Citation to nurture engaged, happy employees, which is then reflected in the service and advice provided to 9,000 customers.

Linda Jodrell, HR Director at Citation comments:

“I absolutely believe that people support what they help build and this has been the foundation of our people strategy over the past 18 months. It has enabled us to change a culture, and it is obvious that our employees back the new vision and direction that the company has put in place. Without this solid support from the people delivering the services day to day, we wouldn’t be able to achieve our corporate objectives.

“To have made the list at the first time of entering is fantastic, but to have done it with such a high employee response rate of 94%, compared to a 66% national average, and to have received such high praise and commendation from the judging panel really makes this an achievement everyone at the company can be proud of. Getting recognised by The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For is just the latest step in the transformation and growth of Citation, and I am looking forward to more positive announcements during the year.”

Citation’s addition to the Top 100 list comes in the wake of the recent announcement that Citation has agreed a 10-year deal to take 18,266 sq ft. of new office space at Kings Court in Wilmslow, from Summer 2015, as the company continues its expansion plans as a result of increased client numbers and a growing work force.

The Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For competition has been running for 15 years and celebrates the cream of the UK’s motivated workforces. It is widely acknowledged as the most searching and extensive research into employee engagement carried out in this country. All the scores and ratings that are assessed to compile the lists are based on employee opinions.

Citation is thrilled to be included and look forward to rising up the ranks of the listings in years to come.
