At the back end of 2014, we offered our clients a chance to win an all expenses paid holiday for 2 to New York City! All you had to do to be in with a chance of winning, was to refer a business to us which you felt could benefit from the support of Citation’s services.

Steve Brands, Director of Heat Connection – a Heating and Venting Engineers in Aberdeen – was our lucky winner, and we were delighted to catch up with him after his trip to hear what a brilliant time he had:

“We had a fabulous time. The holiday was great and all the more so being “free”. Thank you very much to Citation.

New York is a magical place, especially during the festive period. It was buzzing with hustle and bustle, Christmas music and lights. The smell of roasted nuts and hot dogs from the many street vendors all added to the buzz. The Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Centre towering over the queues of people waiting to skate on the ice rink must have had close to a million fairy lights on it.

We stayed in the 5 star Waldorf Hotel, which was to say the least GRAND. Walking into the main lobby was like stepping back in time to the 1950’s, but being treated like Royalty. The grandeur of the decor and furniture adds to the history of the Waldorf.

We walked our way around New York, soaking up the atmosphere, with a few beer stops of course, enjoying the varied shopping ranging from budget buys in China Town right through to window shopping in Saks on 5th Avenue. It even snowed for us which added to the Christmas New York feel.

All passed to quickly, but memories will last forever.
